Medical Scientist
Duties and Responsibilities: Medical Scientists conduct research aimed at improving overall human health. They often use clinical trials and other investigative methods to reach their findings. Their duties consists of:
- Running trial procedures on volunteer test groups or individual subjects
- Work in settings like hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
- Sometimes have to work with dangerous substances
- Conduct research to develop methodologies, instrumentation and procedures for medical application
- Consult with and advise physicians, educators, researchers, and others regarding medical applications of physics, biology, and chemistry.
Salary: $82,240 per year
Education: Medical scientists typically have a Ph.D., usually in biology or related life science.
