and responsibilities: A
dental assistant’s duties include
- · Seating patients in the treatment area.
- · Passing requested instruments to the dentist during dental procedures.
- · Taking impressions of teeth for study models.
- · Polishing clinical crowns.
- · Exposing and developing X-rays
- Perform laboratory functions such as pouring and trimming models, constructing custom trays and fabricating temporary crowns and bridges.
- · Helping patients feel comfortable
- · Providing patients with instructions for oral care.
Salary:
$26,000 - $41,000 per year
Education:
applicants must hold a current CPR
certification and meet one of the following qualifications: have graduated from
an accredited dental assisting/dental hygiene program, have a high school
diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of 3,500 hours of approved work
experience.

I would like
to be a dentist assistant because it looks fun to hand over the instruments to
the dentist. I like to help out other people so this kind of looks like a good
job for me. Working with teeth seems fun to me. They also get paid well.
