What this quote defines is that cheating is never the right thing to do. It is never good. Cheaters of course always win but they may feel happy or feel good but they will ruin the whole game or event for everyone else. It is not fair to cheat because there are people who are working hard trying to win fairly and they will end up doing it for nothing. People who actually try and work hard to accomplish something should not be ruined by those who choose the wrong and cheat. For example, if you are taking a final exam for school and you see the person next to you pull out notes for the answers, you will be mad because it is not fair that you study for the test while the other person is going to get the all of the answers correct for cheating. Cheating can lead you to somewhere good but when you’re assigned to do something on your own, you won’t have no idea what to do.

Yes I would like to be one because it seems interesting. I would like to help out people in any way to make them feel better. also they get paid well i guess.

What this quote defines is that type of person you are and the type of heart you have matters the most. It is important to have good character so you can have a good reputation and have others look up to you as a mentor. This quote is similar to other quotes we have reflected on. Having a good character is the greatest thing you can ever have because you can be the smartest/intelligent person in the world, but if you have no good character you will just let your talent go to waste. You will be disliked, have no friends, and you wouldn’t want that. For example, you may also have great beauty and great strength but if you are acting conceited and arrogant then that doesn’t mean you have good character. Dale Murphy has such great character. He is known for being a CTR person. He never drinks alcoholic beverages, he has no tattoos, and he would pay for his baseball team dinner checks only if alcohol beverages weren’t ordered. He also gave his cap to a little girl whose leg and both arms were missing by stepping on a live power cord. He decided to make a home run for her to make her happy. This man is a role model.

Yes I would like to be one because I think it is fascinating to hand out prescriptions to your patients. I don't know. When I would go to CVS I would see pharmacists there and I would tell myself that I wanted to do that one day. Also, they get paid well.

My topic is teen pregnancy, teen pregnancy is a serious issue because it affects the teens education in every type of way. The United States has the highest rate of teen pregnancy the United Kingdom is the second highest. Over the years, teen pregnancy has become more of an issue. Teen pregnancy is an issue in our community that has to be addressed because we have to educate the teenagers. Understanding teen pregnancy is imperative because to take appropriate measures and we need to educate the teens in our community.

This issue affects the United States, the reason why it affects the united states it’s because it has the highest rate of teen pregnancy comparing to a couple other states. According to, graphs the United States has the highest rate of teen pregnancy the second would be the United Kingdom(www.mainefamilyplanning.org). This matters because less than 2% of teen moms earn a college degree by age 30 . In addition it can also be an issue because more than half of all mothers on welfare had their first child as a teenager, in fact two thirds of families begun by a young unmarried mother are poor . Therefore the situation has to be solved into having protected sex and being more careful.

Teen Pregnancy is believed to be an issue to the teen dads they don’t always marry the mother of their child. For instance 8 out of 10 teen dads don’t marry the mother of their child. This is matters because not the teen dad not always chooses to support their child. In addition it can also be an issue to the mother,  about 25% of teen moms have a second child within 24 months of their first baby. Therefore teens who become pregnant have a higher risk for a medical problems such as toxemia,  hypertension, severe anemia,and also premature delivery.

Lastly, there are facilities to help teen mothers with situations like these. According to this website www.womenhealth.org . This shows that there are places to help teen pregnancy, there are also other places to help educate teens that are into situations like these.

Although some may say that teen pregnancy isn’t common. It is clear that teen pregnancy is common and is a serious situation especially with teens in high school which some may experience peer pressure.

Why is Asthma a big issue?

         Asthma is an issue in the community of Huntington Park, because it affects people of all ages, but most often start during child hood.

                  Many people fail to realize that Asthma is a problem in Huntington Park. For instance, children age are developing Asthma more than adults. This is important because, parents should be aware of the community they’re living in which is putting their kids in danger.  This matters because, according to statistics, it shows that Latinos are the most common race to develop Asthma, especially children.  Therefore, parents should take extra care of their children from all these allergens we are surrounded by. If your child does develop Asthma, make sure he or she use the medicines their doctor prescribed to them and get regular checkups.

              While others believe that asthma really isn’t big, this continues to be an issue because Huntington Park is known for living under poverty level. This means that, Latinos are actually the ones in danger developing this disease of our community. This matters because, we are in danger and it’s more than a big issue. Each year, nearly 3,500 people in the U.S. die from asthma. Ultimately, this is a big issue for us because we live in this community and we should be aware of developing asthma. Asthma is not curable, it can only be treated.

                  Lastly, this issue has become a problem because Huntington Park has several Hispanics living there with high ozone levels they are most likely to develop asthma because of that. For instance, we are surrounded by many factories that pollute a lot to the air and its one of the worst allergens. This means that, our air is polluted so much since everyone usually smokes a lot out in public and factories are manufacturing products that contain too much chemicals. This matters because, it is affecting everybody’s health. You can get asthmatic attacks, cancer, and breathing problem. Ultimately, this is a big issue because it should really concern the community. Currently, 235 million people are suffering from asthma. ( www.who.int)

                    It is time that our community should get together to protest against companies that work with chemicals that are affecting people’s health. Even though others may argue that, such chemicals won’t affect you. I believe that it does affect you because these can be deadly chemicals to people and it will lead to many side effects.

            

            

My Thoughts and Desires.

I really enjoy playing volleyball and basketball. I sort of like to dance also. I am planning on trying out for the girl's volleyball team for my sophomore year or cheer. I'm not really interested in sports but volleyball is the on;y sport that I enjoy playing, especially during P.E. playing with my friends. Cheer, I am not so sure, I'll probably try out for color guard? I don't know but I just want to get involved in something. My desires for the future are to work at Starbucks for my first job. It looks fun and also helps you for scholarships or whatever for school. I want to earn money and help my mom with the rent or probably help her to find a new place to live since I dislike where I live. Next year when I turn 16 I am going to get my permit since I'm barley already starting to learn how to drive and I am going to be working at Yoshinoya since my mom is the assistant manager at Yoshinoya. It's not all bad. I just want to have a job so I can buy my own things and help out my mom. It's better than nothing. After I am done helping my mom with rent and done graduating from highschool, I am striving to get in to USC or into any University. I am planning to get a house and move in with my future husband, get married, and have a beautiful family. I just want to be successful in life so I won't have to hustle in life. My mom always told me that she wanted me to better than her and that's what I'm going to do to make her proud. Also thanks to this class, I am learning to choose the right so I can lead myself to the correct path where I want to be.

What this quote define is that you should always act good and respectful. You should tell the truth. If you are kind and respectful then you are an honorable person. If you are rude and inconsiderate then you will have no honor. Like for example, lets say you are a boss but you will never always be honored. If you were disrespectful then of course you would not be respected or honored. If you were recommended to become boss or manager because you're fair, kind, and respectful, then you will be respected. You will have a good name and be remembered. We all have to act our parts. Meaning everything we do, we have to do it right. Not choosing the wrong. Everything has to be right. No matter how hard it might be to choose the right.

What this quote defines is that of you bring friends along with you to places and you know how they act (negative) then you are better of alone. In my opinion I rather be alone in bad company because I either don't want to be embarrassed or hang out with the wrong crowd. If they are putting you down or giving you negative advice, just leave them because those people aren't worth your time. If you are alone you won't have to worry about anyone else but yourself. You will only have to worry about taking care of yourself and you should. You have stay focused on yourself not others. You should never depend on anyone but yourself. What this quote means is that right is right when it is completely right. I agree with Victor Hugo. If something is half right then it really isn't right at all. For example, if you're walking through a street and walk pass a woman who has dropped her purse or wallet and find $36,000 inside, it is best to return it then keeping half or not returning it at all. If you give back the wallet and take half, that isn't still right because you stole some of the money. It's a little right but not completely right. It's good to do right because good will come back to you.
